Language gives us a way to understand ourselves, one another, and the world we share.
Through poetry, literature, storytelling, philosophy, and the humanities, fellows explore the power of words to shape how we see, interpret, and communicate human experience. Poetry becomes more than something we write. It becomes a practice of attention, observation, reflection, and discovery.
Fellows explore how language can carry complexity, give shape to ideas and experiences, and create space for conversation. They learn to listen closely, articulate what they see, and develop a voice that is both thoughtful and distinctly their own.
We are cultivating young people who can use language to understand, express, and connect.
